Following Friday’s Jumu’ah prayers, thousands gathered at the north gate of Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka to demand an end to the ongoing war in Gaza and to call for Palestinian independence.
The rally, organized by Islami Jubo Andolan Bangladesh, saw a massive turnout of demonstrators expressing outrage over the continued violence in Gaza. Participants urged the global community to take immediate action to stop the suffering of the Palestinian people.
Members of various religious and political organizations joined the demonstration, arriving in processions from different parts of the city. During the rally, speakers voiced strong support for the people of Gaza and called on international bodies to exert pressure on Israel to halt what they described as genocide.
