July atrocities, Aynaghar being documented globally: Adviser Asif

Adviser Asif Mahmud Sojib Bhuiyan has stated that the atrocities committed by supporters of the fascist regime during the July Uprising and the torture cell known as Aynaghar have been extensively documented, both locally and internationally, making it impossible for them to deny their wrongdoings.

Addressing the closing ceremony of the ‘Youth Festival 2025′ at Dhaka University’s central playground, Bhuiyan emphasized that the world has witnessed the reality of the atrocities. Despite the fascist supporters’ attempts to deny these facts, the documentation of the events ensures that their actions during the July Uprising are undeniable.

He further explained that the documentation of the July atrocities and the torture at Aynaghar holds significant importance. The fascist forces responsible for these crimes, including killings and enforced disappearances, will forever be remembered as enemies of the people, both nationally and internationally.

Bhuiyan also highlighted the importance of engaging the youth to rebuild Bangladesh, pointing out the enthusiasm and participation of young people in festivals across the country. He stated that the purpose of these festivals is to organize youth and showcase their potential and strength to the world.

Discussing the role of youth in the July Uprising, Bhuiyan praised their contribution as the driving force of the movement, and emphasized that they continue to play a crucial role in thwarting any attempts to mislead the country. If the youth remain active and vigilant, he believes it will be impossible for anyone to deceive Bangladesh.

Dhaka University Vice Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan presided over the event, with Youth and Sports Secretary Md. Rezaul Maksud Zahedi serving as the special guest.

During the ceremony, Bhuiyan distributed prizes to the winners of various competitions, including drawing, case solving, debate, and chess. The three-day-long Youth Festival at Dhaka University concluded with a concert by the national award-winning rock icon, Faruq Mahfuz Anam James, also known as ‘Nagarbaul James.’
