58th Bishwa Ijtema ends with Akheri Munajat

The 58th Bishwa Ijtema came to a close on February 16, with the Akheri Munajat led by Maulana Yusuf Bin Saad, the son of Maulana Saad Kandhlawi. The prayer session lasted from 12:37 PM to 1:07 PM, drawing 1,584 devotees from 64 countries, along with thousands of local participants from various parts of Bangladesh.

According to Mohammad Sayem, the media coordinator for the Nizamuddin Markaz (followers of Maulana Saad), Maulana Yusuf began his speech at 9:30 AM before leading the Akheri Munajat. The event was broadcast live on local TV channels and across various social media platforms.

Although highways near the Ijtema Ground remained open, the Tongi-Kamarpara Road was blocked as attendees gathered there for the special prayer. Law enforcement remained vigilant due to a prior drone incident during the first phase of the Ijtema and potential security threats on the second phase’s opening day.

The first phase of the Bishwa Ijtema, held from January 31 to February 5, was led by Maulana Jubayer’s followers, while the second phase took place from February 14 to 16 under the guidance of Maulana Saad’s followers.
