The eight-year-old girl from Magura, who had been receiving treatment after a brutal assault, tragically passed away at 1:00 pm on Thursday at the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka.
The Bangladesh Army’s verified Facebook page shared the heartbreaking news, expressing profound sorrow. The post read, “With a deeply heavy heart, we regret to inform that the tortured child from Magura has passed away today (13 March 2025) at 1:00 pm at CMH, Dhaka. (Inna Lillahi wa Inna Ilayhi Raji’un).”
Despite receiving the best medical care and the relentless efforts of expert doctors at CMH, the child’s life could not be saved. She suffered three cardiac arrests in the morning. Although her heartbeat was restored twice, it could not be revived the third time.
The girl was admitted to CMH on 8 March in critical condition.
