M A Latif Shahrear Zahedee, Senior Vice President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation, has been appointed as a member of the Board of Administration of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA).
The appointment was confirmed during a meeting of the CAVA Board of Administration held on April 25, 2025.
At the event, CAVA President Mohamed Latheef formally presented the appointment letter to Zahedee.
In his remarks, President Latheef expressed confidence that Zahedee’s extensive experience, commitment, and leadership would contribute significantly to the growth and development of volleyball throughout the Central Asian region.
He also emphasised that Zahedee’s active engagement would help further strengthen the region’s national volleyball federations.
The Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) comprises 14 national federations from Central and South Asia.
The organisation is responsible for managing and promoting indoor, beach, and grass volleyball across the region.
CAVA also organises key competitions, including the CAVA Asian Men’s Nations League and the CAVA Asian Women’s Nations League.
