
Bangladesh recorded a remittance inflow of $2.19 billion in January 2025, marking a 3.4% increase compared to the same month last year, when it stood at $2.11 billion.
According to data from the central bank, state-owned and specialized banks accounted for $627 million of the total remittance, while private banks received $1.55 billion.
This marks the sixth consecutive month the country has received over $2 billion in remittances.
