The current government is working to establish a pro-people public procurement system in Bangladesh. The government issincere to prevent waste and reduce delay in implementation of projects. Every year, on an average of about 15 hundred projects are taken in the Annual Development Programme (ADP). If these projects achieve the right goals and objectives, then there will be a positive impact on the economy.
For this, the electronic Project Management Information System or e-PMIS has been made functional, through which real-time data on project implementation can be obtained from the government offices. It has been added to the electronic Government Procurement (e-GP)system. The total number of projects under ADP in the current fiscal year is 1343.
