Tanzid Tamim made his debut for Bangladesh, who chose to field first in the opening match of the five-game T20I series against Zimbabwe at Chattogram’s Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
Having already played 15 ODIs and accumulating 263 runs, including two half-centuries, Tanzid brings promising potential to the T20 format.
However, Bangladesh will miss the contributions of star all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and pacer Mustafizur Rahman in the initial three matches of the Chattogram leg.
On the other side, Zimbabwe introduced wicket-keeper batter Joylord Gumbie as their debutant in the series. The lineup for both teams includes promising talents eager to make their mark on the international stage.
