
Bangladesh has set a new record for remittance inflows, receiving a remarkable $3.29 billion in March. This marks a significant year-on-year growth of 64.7%, surpassing last year’s figure of $1.99 billion for the same month, according to Bangladesh Bank (BB) data.
The remittance inflow for March 2025 is now the highest-ever monthly inflow in the country’s history. In comparison, Bangladesh received $2.53 billion in February 2025, which was the fourth-highest monthly inflow at that time. Additionally, December 2024 had seen the country’s previous record of $2.64 billion in remittances.
For the fiscal year 2024-2025, from July to March, Bangladesh’s total remittance inflow has reached $21.78 billion, up from $17.08 billion during the same period last year.
