
The price of a 12kg LPG cylinder has been reduced by Tk28 for the month of March, bringing the new price to Tk1,450, down from Tk1,478 in February.
This new rate took effect from 6pm on Monday, March 3, according to the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC).
The per kg price of LPG has also decreased by Tk2.35, now set at Tk120.81, down from the previous price of Tk123.16. As a result, prices for other LPG cylinder sizes, ranging from 5.5kg to 45kg, will also see a reduction.
Additionally, the price of “auto gas” (LPG used for vehicles) has been adjusted to Tk66.43 per litre, down from Tk67.78 (including VAT).
However, the price of LPG sold by the state-owned LP Gas Company remains unchanged, as it is locally produced and holds a market share of less than 5%.
In February 2023, the price of a 12kg LPG cylinder reached its highest level at Tk1,498.
